Calculation of Coherent Backscattering on the Basis of Milne Solution

Abstract

In generalizing the Milne equation using the Wiener–Hopf method, the solution of the problem of multiple scattering by a medium with an isotropic single-scattering indicatrix for an arbitrary angle of incidence is found. The resulting solution is used as an initial approximation for calculating the intensity of coherent back- scattering for an anisotropic indicatrix.
