Laboratory for system integration is the first base unit of the
Department for System Integration and Networking.

The main purposes of the Laboratory
- Maintenance of uninterrupted functioning of computer systems;
- Maintenance of functioning of local and global networks;
- Installation and mastering of new computer systems;
- Development and implementation of local and global networks conception;
- Investigation of the tendencies supercomputer equipment development;
- Investigation of the tendencies network and computer facilities development;
- Investigation of new network and computer technologies;
Group for Benchmarking was created within the framework of the
Laboratory for System Integration to implement benchmarking of hardware
and software and evaluate performance of computer facilities.
Professinal experience of the Laboratory specialists
- Creation of separated telephon communication channels;
- Works with high-speed (2 Mb and 512 Kb) fibre-optical channels;
- Configuration of local network Ethernet (10 Мbit) and FDDI
(100 Мbit);
- Creation WAN;
- Administrating in the operating systems UNIX
(ConvexOS 10.0, ConvexOS 11.0, SPP-UX 9.0, AIX 4.1, HP-UX 9.0,
HP-UX 10.10, HP-UX 10.20, Linux, SCO Unix etc);
- Mastering and administrating of high-performance vector-parallel supercomputer
systems Convex C-3820 and Convex C3440;
- Mastering and administrating of high-performance parallel supercomputer
HP-Convex SPP-1600;
- Mastering and administrating of supercomputer system Parsytec CC,
with separated memory;
