The CSA supercomputing cluster is the unique open access resource of
high capability. Different vector-parallel and parallel computing systems produced
by the world famous supercomputing firms have been working in our centre.
The total disk capacity of the CSA computing systems is more than 120
Gb. The additional abilities are provided by the Robotic Tape System
for information storing with the total capacity up to 2.5 Tb.
RAM of some computers exceeds 1 - 2 Gb. Users are able to conduct
their task solutions simultaneously by 16 parallel computing nodes
using one high-capable system of Computing Centre from the five available.
Supercomputing Centre resources are accessible for local
users and for remote ones having the access to Internet. Local users can
work in terminal classes of alphanumeric and graphic terminals. Each terminal
working place provides access to CSA resources and to Internet.
Smart Node for
Remote Access (SNRA) in St-Petersburg State University is a new variant
of CSA resources using.
Below there is the interactive scheme of a network of supercomputer
center.
