Parsytec CC/PP

Parsytec CC/PP 8 is a computer of massive-parallel architecture with separated memory. The system is based on processors PowerPC 604e (300 МHz).

Hardware:

• 4 computing nodes with separated memory; each node contains:
  • 2 processors PowerPC 604e (300 МHz);
  • motherboard Motorola;
  • 256 Mb of the main memory
• disk space 1.6 Gb for users on entry node;
• disk subsystem 13 Gb (SCSI-disks 3.2 Gb on each node);
• network interface Ethernet (100 Mbs);
• communication interface HighSpeed Link (HS-Link)

Software:

Operating system AIX 4.2 and Embedded PARIX 1.9.5, program language compilers C and FORTRAN 77, parallel libraries MPI/PVM are installed on the supercomputer. Also compilers Motorola XLC (C++) and FORTRAN 90, and software of GNU project can be used.

Pick performance is 4.8 Gflops.
