The massive-parallel supercomputer Parsytec CCiD

CSA Home Page
Russian version

The multiprocessor server systems Parsytec CCiD are offered to be used as servers of a business enterprise's scale. The systems are executed on basis of dual-processor nodes equipped with processors Intel Pentium II (300 MHz). Computing nodes are integrated in a high-speed intellectual network with communication medium HighSpeed Link (HS-Link).

Hardware:

For input/output interfaces any peripheral unit supporting PCI and SCSI standards can be used.

The separated nodes of a system are aggregated in a special box. Such modules, together with routers HS-Link, network hubs Fast Ethernet and power supply units are placed inside of 19" standard communication rack. The system is scaled by extension of a number of modules and also by increasing of number of routers and/or by complication of a high-speed network topology.

Software:

On each computing node of the computer the operation system Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server is installed. A commutation medium and the systems of parallelizing of problems are based on computational medium PARIX and programm libraries MPI/PVM. The compiler Visual C ++ is used in the computer system. The developer medium Microsoft Visual C 5.0 is installed. Utilities telnet and ftp are used for access to the system.

The software MPI, PVM are free distributed (freeware) and can be supplied with source codes.

Pick performance is 2.4 Gflops.
