Parsytec CCe20 is a supercomputer of massive-parallel architecture with separated memory. It is intended for fulfilment of high-performance parallel calculations.

Hardware:

 

Technology Fast HS-Link, based on the standard IEEE 1355, intended for ATM of networks with a data rate 622 Mbs and 1.2 Gbs. Fast HS-Link allows to support a data rate between separated nodes up to 40 Mbs, hold time for data transfer about 86 microseconds. HS-Link the router adds 200 ns delay during routing. The router controls 8 parallel data flows transfer (with a bandwidth of 33 Mbs).

In addition to high-speed HS-Link network all computing nodes of the computer system are integrated with Ethernet network (10/100 Mbs), using for management and exchange by the UNIX standard protocols, and also in a special managment-control network using for output of debug information from any node of the system to a terminal.

Any peripheral unit supporting PCI and SCSI standards can be used as input/output interface. Standard place of peripheral units connection is so-called input-output node.

Some nodes of the system are combined in specialized box, Set of such modules (including routers and power supply modules) is placed in blocks, which can contain up to eight such nodes. The system is scaled by increasing of a number of one-node modules or multinode elements, and also by extension of a number of routers and/or by complication of a high-speed network topology.

Software:

On each computing node of the computer the operation system IBM AIX 4.1.5 is installed. A commutation medium and the systems of parallelizing of problems are based on software environment Embedded PARIX (EPX 1.9.4) and on MPI/PVM (Message Parsing Interface/Parallel Virtual Mashine) libraries.

Compilers from languages C, C ++ (IBM C ++ for AIX) and FORTRAN (XL Fortran for AIX), and also means for a debugging of parallel problems Detop (DETOP 1.1 Source Level Debugger for EPX) are used in the computer system.

Pick performance is 12 Gflops.
